The Gilmore Lion

In the 50's and 60's, Gilmore Lion Decals were a big part of the hotrodding scene. The emblems came in two configurations - one
facing the left meant you were from the west side of Denver and one facing the right meant you were from the east side of
Denver. In those days, you just weren't cool if you didn't have a Gilmore Lion in your back window. Some of the rodders at
Scottsdale had the lions in their windows which prompted lots of questions as to the origin of the decals. Anyone who has further
information about these historic symbols are welcome to email us at webmaster@dfw-hotrodhappenings.com so we can share this
important part of our hotrodding history with fellow enthusiasts.
