GOOD GUYS HEARTLAND NATIONALS
Des Moines, Iowa - July 1, 2, 3, 2005

The build up to the fun begins at the beautiful Iowa State Fairgrounds with rodders
registering, vendors setting up, and the Good Guys staff buzzing around the venue to make
sure everything is ready for opening day.  Members of the Host Club, the Iowa Street Rod
Association, were there to welcome the early birds. We've captured some of the sights that
you might not see unless you are at an event the day before it opens.

There's that big, inflatable and hard to miss
GoodGuys baner.
One of the historic buildings on the grounds
will house all kinds of interesting items,
especially for women.
And just in case you've lost your place in the
world, here's a cool globe to find yourself.  And
lucky you ... you've arrived at GoodGuys!
Members of the Host Club were set up on
Thursday to greet the early birds.

the registration tent.
Closing up the tent at 5 pm on Thursday
afternoon.

And here we have some of the food vendors ...
all set up and just waiting to serve up that
delicious fair food!
Main Street on the Fairgrounds at 6 pm is
pretty much deserted.

Street of the Fairgrounds.
What would a car show be without Margaritas
and Beer?
The SkyGlider is checked out and ready to go!
Here's an early Corvette giving the grounds an
early look.
Check back tomorrow night ... same time, same station.
There is even special parking for the trailer
queens!
