Car Show September 23, 24, 25, 2005 During the weekend of September 23, 24, & 25, 2005, the Confederate Classic Car Club hosted their 23rd annual rod run. It was held at the Raddison Hotel in Spartanburg, SC on Friday and Saturday with the awards presentation on Sunday morning. They have awards for the top 25, 50/50 on both Friday and Saturday, plus five $100.00 giveaways and a raffle drawing for $500.00 on Sunday morning. They also gave away a set of Michelin tires. They had held the cut-off at 1954 in previous years but it was open for up to 1972 this year. The price of gas seemed to keep the numbers down but they still drew close to 200 cars.
